KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa

KwaZulu-Natal is a province in Southafrica’s southeastern part with a surface area of about 94’000 square kilometres. KwaZulu means “place of the Zulu” and inhibits some beautiful areas and highlights such as the UNESCO World Heritage sites iSimangaliso Wetland park or the uKhahlamba Drakensberg park.

KZN is very well known as a great Safari destination within Southafrica and can perfectly be combined with a trip to the Kruger Nationalpark which is not too far away.

There is plenty of options for wildlife enthusiasts, because there are quite a few private game reserves and fantastic Lodges in KZN. But for us as photographers and videographers, the one that really stands out the most, is ZIMANGA- Private Game Reserve, just a few kilometres north of Mkuze.

ZIMANGA is an absolute prime destination for photographic Safari all year round. Especially during the hotter months of the year, also the birding experience is exceptional. It has been design from photographers for photographers, with many different hides, an artificial freshwater lagoon and even two very different overnight hides were you can stay overnight for over 15 hours, and safely photograph all of the animals that come to quench their thirst under the cover of darkness.

Absolutely amazing …..
